  • We ensure sufficient colour contrasts.
  • Informative images are provided with alternative text where possible.
  • The website adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

We aim to design our digital offering so that it can be used by as many people as possible, regardless of physical, sensory, or technical limitations.

In the design and further development of our website, we are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Conformance Level AA.

Accessibility Status

In the technical and editorial implementation of our website, we take common requirements for accessible web content into account, in particular:

  • a heading structure that is as logical and semantic as possible,
  • the fullest possible operability of important functions using the keyboard,
  • visible focus states for interactive elements,
  • sufficient colour contrasts,
  • alternative text for informative images,
  • a responsive display on different screen sizes,
  • the ability to enlarge content via the browser’s zoom function.

We cannot currently guarantee full compliance with all success criteria of WCAG 2.2 AA.

Non-accessible Content

Despite our efforts, individual barriers may still exist. These may include, in particular:

  • Alternative text may be missing or incomplete for individual images.
  • Individual integrated content or functions from third-party providers may have limited accessibility.
  • Individual functions can still be optimised regarding screen reader compatibility.
  • Content in Easy Read or German Sign Language is not currently available.

We are working to identify existing barriers and reduce them where possible. We aim to design new content to be accessible from the outset.
